Demystifying Hypnotherapy:an Amazing Tool for Change

Remember the last time you were daydreaming. Whilst your head was ‘in the clouds’, you didn’t notice or hear that the person next to you was asking you a question and expecting an answer. Well, I‘m pretty sure it wasn’t that long ago!
Hypnosis is similar to daydreaming - it is a natural state of awareness, a state of deep relaxation and focused attention - a state that many of us are in several times a day, often without realising it.
Do you also wonder what the difference is between hypnosis and hypnotherapy?
Hypnotherapy is a technique that helps you achieve focused inner attention and concentration, and whilst in this ‘head space’ - a bit disconnected from ordinary awareness, and yet fully in control - you’ll be guided so that you can focus on images, thoughts, sensations, and perceptions that are designed to help you achieve a goal, overcome a challenge and/or feel a certain way.
Hypnotherapy can be used to address a wide range of issues, including and not limited to:
breaking through blocks such as negative beliefs, limiting thoughts, fears and phobias
increasing your resilience
improving your response to stressful situations
boosting your confidence levels and self-esteem
enhancing your skills (writing, public speaking etc..)
sharpening your decision-making and negotiation skills
helping you take actions (to enter the workforce or set up your own business etc.)
relaxing in depth
improving physical and emotional wellbeing
Whilst in a comfortable position, you’ll be first guided to a deep state of relaxation, creating a relaxed internal focus. Then, you’ll be skilfully guided through positive suggestions, using imagery and visualisation that involve different senses : sight, sound, touch, smell or taste. Most sessions are very relaxing.
How and why does Hypnotherapy work?
Hypnotherapy helps you bypass the judgmental part of your mind - the conscious, rational part of you that’s judging, analysing, and limiting. It addresses the other part of your mind where your memories, beliefs, fears are stored - and without your awareness, influence your actions and feelings, and therefore direct the course of what you do in your life. Addressing what you want at that level of mind is what causes hypnotherapy to be so powerful, to create a positive change in your life.
Whilst there is a large body of scientific studies and publications that validate the incredible effects of hypnosis and hypnotherapy, there isn’t a better way to understand it than to experience it for yourself.
