How to become a Conscious Architect of Life

If you’ve read the preamble to this blog ‘How your Childhood Experiences Shape your Adult Life’, you now know that you are today the product of all that you believe at the deepest unconscious level.

What is in your control to do today?

You can now choose what to consciously believe by re-examining which of your current beliefs you want to keep, and which ones you want to change.

It is the opportunity to be childlike again, curious about everything: your beliefs, your behaviours, your emotions, your desires, your likes, dislikes etc… It’s also an opportunity to be mindful on the beliefs that you pass onto your children (if you have any), and those around you.

It’s also an invitation to:

  • un-learn: what is not helping you in your life today, and

  • learn again: new ways of looking, perceiving, giving meaning, as well as new techniques, new tools, new approaches … and so much more!

If something is not working the way I want in my life, I re-examine which underlying beliefs I have about that particular situation (whether this is in my professional or personal life). If I am feeling annoyed or hurt by a word or a behaviour, I look into the meaning I give to what’s happening, and what I can change to feel differently.

You can also dive inwards and re-examine the beliefs in your life. Is what you believe in your life today helping you to be, do and have what you truly want? If so, it’s great. Most likely, there are areas of your life where you’ll be keen to create a change. If so, you may choose to follow the following process:

Step 1

Think about one objective, one goal, a desire, or something you’ve been longing for and which is not coming together. Pick one at a time to work with.

Step 2

List the (limiting) beliefs that may be between you and that what you want for this particular matter. If you’re not clear about this concept, you may first want to read ‘How your Childhood Experiences Shape your Adult Life’.

Step 3

Spend time being clear on what specific beliefs would be more supportive to help you achieve what you want. List them all and keep them at the forefront of your mind.

Step 4

Train yourself to become more attentive and mindful of what you think and say. Replace your unhelpful thoughts (limiting beliefs) with more supportive ones (empowering beliefs) both in your mind and in your language.

It may require some practice to get the gist of it. Stick with it over a period of time, consistency is key!

Some beliefs are more difficult to access and/or to change. If you’re curious to find out more about how coaching and/or hypno-coaching could help you in this area, contact me.

Imagine how your life would be by tapping into your natural abilities to BE, DO and HAVE what you really want in your life, and how it would impact positively on the life of those around you. Instead of accepting the status quo, you can choose to turn all the “I can’t” and “I shouldn’t” into create new possibilities for yourself. Are you now keen to create a positive change in your life?

I can help you feel centered, tap into your inner strength, express your essence and live fulfilled through the ‘Inside-out’ Approach.

Until we meet, take care.
